Thank you so much for submitting such stunning dresses to the Ishi Contest! I’ve been so amazed and inspired by them, and I have received so many comments from people who felt exactly the same way.
Also a big thank you to the amazing sponsors of this contest:
Okay, let’s just announce the winners. The first category, “Best fabric/color combination”, was chosen by the members of the jury. They each submitted a top-5. Their first choice received 5 points, their second 4 points, and so on. Then, all the points were tallied. The Ishi dress which received most votes in this category, was the Harlequin Ishi by P’tits Monstres.
Congratulations, Laurence! You win:
– 3 meters of fabrics of choice from the Flowers collection by Umbrella Prints (AU$78)
– €50 store credit at Raaf & Vos
– €50 store credit at Mon Depot
– $50 store credit at Imagine Gnats
– €25 store credit at Monday’s Milk
– $25 store credit at hello shiso
The winner in the second category, “Best Pocket”, was chosen in the exact same way. Here, the Ishi with layered mesh pockets by Lil Luxe Collection.
Congratulations, Jessica! You win these fabulous prizes:
– 3 Japanese sewing books, selected by Tuttle
– $50 store credit to spend on buttons at Fulton & Co
– €50 store credit at Volksfaden
– $50 store credit at Urban Sew
– €25 store credit at Monday’s Milk
– a signed and personalized copy of Little Kunoichi by Sanae Ishida
And finally, there was the Voters’ Choice prize. There was a little hick-up in the link-up, which made it impossible to vote between Saturday noon and Sunday noon, but luckily, no votes were lost and there was enough time to extend the deadline so that everyone had plenty of time to vote. The dress which won the most votes was Barbara’s Ishi with pleated pockets, neon details, and a very special fabric choice:
Well done, Barbara! You are the winner of:
– €50 store credit at Madeline De Stoffenmadam
– €50 worth of Froy & Dind fabrics of choice at Lelastof
– €25 store credit at Kousen & Karton
– a signed and personalized copy of Little Kunoichi by Sanae Ishida
In the coming days, I will get the three winners in touch with our sponsors.
A big thank you to our jury members (Griet, Katelijne, Mie, Rachael, Rachel, Rozalinde, and Sanae), and to everyone for all the support and enthusiastic reactions to the Ishi pattern and the contest. In a few days, I will reopen the link-up and move it to a permanent page, so that everyone can keep adding Ishi’s and inspiring others.
