Earlier this week, De Soldeur launched their first collection of fabrics. It is a set of beautiful beautiful prints, available in four different qualities of fabric.
And I was one of the lucky bastards who got to work with one of them.
I immediately knew which one I would choose, and what I would make: a huge bean bag a la Fatboy.
The fabrics are incredibly soft, and great to pet š Ā They are very thick, but not exceptionally heavy. They are just perfect for home decor projects, like curtains, cushions, laundry baskets, play rugs, bean bags, and so on.
I finished the bean bag on Wednesday, and it has been used on a daily basis since. It’s big enough to fit both my girls and me, so it has become our favorite spot for reading bed time stories.
The bean bag is a simple rectangle with rounded corners, and consists of an inner bag, and an outer bag which closes with Velcro strips. Six meters of piping were used around the edges.
All fabrics in the collection are produced in Belgium, and printed on demand. You can order them at De Soldeur brick and mortar shop, or via their webshop. For a small fee, you can have the madeĀ into curtains.
