A few weeks ago, I made a new Moiano coat for Ava. I showed the lining in my post on the Birch Tour, and now I thought I’d share the main coat.
The fabric I used is a beautiful Merchant & Mills linen mix I ordered from the British shop Make At 140 (sold out now, but you can still by the red and the grey version over at Atelier Moondust).
I used the zipper option and the hood, and left out all details because I’m a lazy little seamstress.
I lined the hood with some fluffy long-hair fleece. Ava loves it.
Ava insisted on taking her dolly to our little photo shoot. Just when I was about to ask her to keep it out of the picture, I realized that I made it from a Birch fabric years ago, and that it would actually be very fitting to use it 🙂
I used wool batting as interlining. As the Moiano was actually designed as a Summer coat, I sized up to the next size in order to have enough room for the batting.

You can find the Moiano pattern in my shop, both in Dutch and in English, and in pdf and on paper.
Wishing you all a warm Winter!
